The day before we left Ethiopia to come home. |

Today marks 4 months that Hadassah has been home with us. It seems like we have always had her as part of our family.
Our blog has been pretty quiet, but our family life has been far from quiet. This precious girl keep us on our toes! The first couple of months were pretty rough. Well, really rough. It's the thing that most adoptive parents don't talk about because they don't want their kids to one day find out that bringing them home was rough. :) But if there wasn't a season of difficulty, then the season of calm wouldn't be as sweet. I just want to say that God has blessed us with one of the most delightful little babies. She is always happy and so curious about life. She has a tender heart and a hilarious sense of humor, even at this young of an age. She LOVES her brothers and sister and is just as social as them, too.
Since she has been home, she now walks, has grown 8 more teeth, waves "hi" and "bye", eats all kinds of food, laughs, says a few 2 syllable words, and has learned to sleep in her crib without being put to sleep first. She says, "Oooh, oooh, ahhh, ahhh!" like a monkey, which is so funny. She serves us pretend food. She signs "more", "please", and "thank you". She has just recently started twirling and dancing to music. She would stay outside all day if we let her. She really likes to swim. She was baptized the week after Easter Sunday. She is not afraid of anything and has been named A.J. -- Adrenaline Junky.
We call her Hadassah, (not Hadashah -- like a lot of people say :)), but our nicknames for her are Daws or Dassie. (I've never written those nicknames out, so I don't even know how I'd really spell them.)
Hadassah is the little Star of our family. We love her more than words can say and we celebrate 4 months with great huge smiles and thankfulness in our hearts for this answered prayer.
Awwwwwww so sweet!
