We are now home and all of the chicks are in the nest.
Settled? Hmmm... Rested? Haha...
We have been super busy, totally against what we were supposed to do. I guess when you bring home an adopted child you are supposed to "cocoon" - stay home and bond with them. While we have been with her 24/7, she is already used to her car seat and has quit staring wide-eyed at her new, big world.
She has also been sick. She has a terrible cough that wakes her up all night long. She loves to sleep, but only in our arms. Jay can get her to sleep in her bed, but she and I do a LOT of snuggling. Right now, Jay and the older kids are gone and she is fast asleep in her bed. Glory to God, Hallelujah!! That's why I'm able to blog. But it may be the only blog for awhile because...
We are moving to a new house. We found a house that is the perfect size and location. Plus it has a great front and back yard for the kids to play in. In order to get to that house we have to pack. Who knows how on earth that is going to happen, but it will. ha
Here are some pictures of our family this first week home with Hadassah.
A welcome home gift of a monkey.
Finally, they get to hold her!
Olivia acting like a baby while the real baby watches on. Luckily this only lasted for a few minutes and she is now a proud big sister. Also, I have no idea why she is wearing her brother's shirt.
First family photo.
Josiah has been waiting for this moment.
Gifts from Hadassah.
Feeding their sister a bottle.
First time in her crib.
My favorite picture so far. (Thanks Tamra and Brea!)
Hadassah gets to meet Mum-Z. Photo shoot with our friend, Lissa.
First time to swing. First time to really play with Olivia.
Amy, she is beautiful. I love her big eyes :) Sweet picture of Haddasah with her brothers and sister.

ReplyDeleteWe need to get together soon. Jay's birthday is this weekend and we move next weekend. Let's get together as soon as we are moved in. The boys will want to have your boys over!!
DeleteWonderful update. Yay on a new bigger place, but boo on packing. She looks like she us adjusting well. Praying she continues to adjust and that she starts to rest well.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry Hadassah has a cough! That's tough! I wish I could come help you with your packing, but I'm afraid me and my kiddos would probably add more chaos instead of help. I love your new house! It looks HUGE!
ReplyDeleteOh welcome home! Hope life is adjusting smoothly for you all!
ReplyDeleteAnd I spy with my little eyes....something being loved! Warms my heart to see a blanket being loved! Mindy
She really does love it. She's used to being on a mattress outside when she was in ET, so she likes to have her own little place in the house, too. :)
DeleteI just cry looking at all these pics. He is so good. Thank you God for this sweet baby and for her new sweet family.
