Moving Day

We have lived in our house for 2 weeks now. And things are slowly coming together. Well, things are about the same as they were one week ago. Most stuff is put away, but there are boxes and things lingering. I wish that they would just magically disappear. And I wish that my house would be magically decorated. But having 4 kids and full weekends doesn't seem to work well with magic.

Blogging has died off mainly because Hadassah is making her room in our office/guest room for now. In fact, I started this blog as she drank a bottle in her crib and now she is screaming for me to get her out. But I'm determined. So here are a few quick pictures of our move in day. And I have LOADS more photos to blog one day.

We are loving our new house and neighborhood. The kids have really enjoyed having a yard again. I have enjoyed knowing that they can be as loud as they want and a neighbor won't bang on the wall. But sometimes I still hear a kid running upstairs and jump, thinking that it's the neighbor taking out his anger on the sheetrock again. Then I smile and tell myself, "Let them run."

We had SO MUCH help for our move. I seriously was having mild panic attacks, wondering how on earth I was going to get a house packed with a baby who screams any time I put her down (like right now...oh my nerves). But magic did happen...my mom called and said, "Hey, would it help if Granny, Lindsey and I came to help you pack and get moved? (Cue the "Hallelujah Chorus".) I knew that I would have nothing to worry about because my mom and grandma are the hardest working people I know. And Lindsey (my sister-in-law) is an organizing machine who helped me out at the new house.
THEN, several people from our church came and helped move boxes from one house to the other. We enjoyed a fun lunch (see the sandwich above) with some of those who helped out.
We are so grateful for all of the help and relieved to be home.

Now I must get Hadassah out of that crib. She is not happy with me.
