School's In Session

School started in our house yesterday. The kids have been on pins and needles, waiting to open their books. As we put the kids in bed tonight Isaac said, "Mom, I can't wait to do handwriting tomorrow." What??

For those of you who think that homeschooling looks like the toughest job ever, let me tell you that you are very wrong. We sent the boys to public school last year and I was EXHAUSTED! Making breakfast and lunches at 7:00 in the morning was not my idea of fun. And then waiting in the car line for 30 minutes every day and toting kids from here to there...gag. Don't get me wrong, I'm great with you moms who send their kids to school. I just don't want you to ever feel bad for me. (Unless it involves a Starbucks gift card or doughnuts.)

  1. I have been wondering what you were going to do with school this year. I know you are great at what you do with those kids every day! I think we should start a coffee company that delivers to stay at home moms every day. And it must be a requirement that each cup delivers LOTS of fresh whip on top :) Also, that first picture of Isaac is his Uncle Matt Dietz to a tee! He is so handsome and grown up.

  9. Mom- That is a cross necklace that a man from Brazil gave Jay. The kids all pass it around and take turns wearing it. :)
